Wax Melt Instructions
• Place one wax bee or one rectangle of a snap bar into the top dish of a wax burner.
• If you would like a stronger and longer lasting smell then more can be added. (Please ensure your wax burner is large enough to hold the amount of wax you intend to melt).
• Place a tealight in the bottom of the burner and light.
• Allow this to melt the wax to release fragrance.
• One bee (15g) should last at least 6 – 8 hours before replacing.
• One rectangle (10g) of a snap bar should last at least 4 – 6 hours before replacing.
• Once a melt stops releasing fragrance, the wax needs to be removed. (The wax will NOT evaporate). The wax can be removed in a variety of ways:
– Soak up the melted wax with cotton wool.
– Leave the wax to harden and remove by cutting it out.
– Leave the wax to harden, light a tealight for a short time to slightly warm the bottom and slide the wax out of the burner.
• After the wax has been removed, clean the burner to ensure no residue is left. This is especially important if you are trying different scents.
Wax Melts: Further Information
• It is important to know that the strength of scent can vary due to a number of factors:
– Firstly, some scents will be naturally stronger and longer lasting than others.
– Room size greatly affects smell intensity. (A larger room requires more wax to fill the room).
– Close windows when burning wax melts to ensure scent does not escape.
– Depth and width of your wax burner dish can affect scent throw and strength.
– A tealight wax burner and electric wax burner will result in different scent strengths and durations. A tealight wax burner often has better scent throw as it heats to higher temperatures.
Wax Melt Safety
• If using a tealight wax burner, never leave a burning candle unattended!
• Never use a tealight wax burner for longer than 4 hours at a time – it may get too hot.
• Check packaging for all allergen information and advice.
• May cause an allergic skin reaction – if on skin, wash off with plenty of soap and water.
• If skin irritation or rash occurs, seek medical advice.
• Wash contaminated clothing before reuse.
• Keep out of reach of children and pets.
• Harmful to aquatic life with long lasting effects – avoid release into the environment.
